This Hades and Persephone retelling will captivate you from the very start.  The author did an marvelous job in character and world building and development.  This book has action, suspense, drama and plot twists.  This is an Enemies to Lovers Troupe which I have come to adore and is a slow burn.  

Prue an Earth Witch is determined and seems pretty fearless, she would do absolutely anything to get her sister Mona back.  Cyrus God of The Underworld believed he was nothing but a monster and the only thing he cared about was power and getting back to his home.  However, the longer Prue and Cyrus spend together we learn there is so much more to him than we think.  The banter between Prue and Cyrus is quite comical at times. 

Prue scoffed.  "You're a bastard."   "Probably.  I never met my mother."

I had a hard time putting this book down, it kept me on my toes with all the action, adventures, twists and turns up until the very end, with a massive plot twist and cliffhanger has left me reeling.  I am needing book two like right now!!!!!

 I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy.  This book has a little bit of spice but not too bad.
