“I wouldn’t be standing here if I’d quit every time something seemed impossible to overcome. I will not die today.”
Mini Blurb
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
“Hope is a fickle, dangerous thing. It steals your focus and aims it toward the possibilities instead of keeping it where it belongs—on the probabilities.”
They hype and obsession over this book is real and understandably so. I felt this was a perfect mix of world building and character building. I felt that the story went a long at a great pace. I LOVE this book, is easily one of my favorite books of the year and will probably become my whole personality.
Violet was a great character, I love how she didn’t let her disability stop her from achieving all that she did. It also shows that physical strength isn’t everything and is not all that makes someone great.
“There’s nowhere in existence you could go that I wouldn’t find you, Violence
Xaden…(swoon) he was deliciously morally grey and the chemistry between him and Violet was 😘🤌🥵🥵
I also enjoyed the banter a lot!
“I would rather lose this entire war than live without you, and if that means I have to prove myself over and over, then I’ll do it. You gave me your heart, and I’m keeping it.”
Dain…well what can I say about him. He’s well, a D-bag. I don’t care for him and I would love to see Violet lay him out in the next book.
This is a binge worthy action packed romantasy I will recommend this book to everyone. Go read it ASAP!!!!
