Monogamy is overrated

From being off-limits to being in love with your brother's best friend. Will Seema change Adrian's philosophy on love?
Adrian is convinced that monogamy is overrated. No wonder most relationships end with cheating, separation, divorces, and break-up. Contrastingly, Seema believes in one true love, the foundation of monogamy. They argued as teenagers and they continue to argue today about monogamy. Adrian is her older brother's best friend. Growing up, they were always off-limits to each other. Things turn upside down when the two move into the same city for work as adults. Will Seema change Adrian's mind?

Seema the main character is working on her Psychology Doctorate, she landed an internship in Galveston, Texas. Seema has 6 days to find an apartment and move unfortunately is unable to secure anything and was going to stay in a hotel. Her brother Sam informs her that his best friend Adrian is an executive for a resort and was going to let her stay in a time share. She is not happy taking a handout especially from someone who broke her heart so many years ago.
Seema has strong feelings for Adrian but he doesn’t believe in Monogamy. People fall out of love all the time. She decides to strike a deal with Adrian for him to be her boyfriend on Wednesdays and all the other days they can act like they barely know each other. (Sneaky Psychology experiment?).
Secrets and betrayals that shakes the foundation of what Seema believes and what she wants out of life…
My opinion:
Despite Seema and Adrian’s differences they looked after each other. You could feel how Adrian was drawn to Seema. You could feel the emotion to this story and the internal battle Adrian struggled with. He was convincing himself that love never lasts and in his experience it hadn’t but he just felt something different and stronger for Seema.
I loved that I could feel the emotions and love the duel point of views. This was an enjoyable fun quick read that will have you ugly crying by the end…ugly crying in a good way! Conflict resolution was great and the character building was good.
The book was a little dialogue heavy but, it did not take away from the story at all.
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
